Apex Legends Forge Season 4 v Revenant, Respawn

A little over a week ago, it appeared that Forge was the poster legend for Apex Legends Season 4. He was the feature of the reveal and Respawn came out with tons of background information on him. We also learned of his abilities, making it seem like Forge would be included in Season 4. However, we all know how that ended, as he looked to be killed by our newest legend, Revenant. The community assumed that wasn’t the end for Forge, but a Respawn developer seems to have shut down those rumors, for now at least.

Forge really not coming back to Apex Legends?

After the interview where Forge was killed, conspiracy theories starting popping up all over social media. There were comments on the fact that the TV version of Forge looked different than the version seen in promotional images. Also, his in-game weapon charm indicated that his likeness was often imitated by others.

With all of this conjecture, it did seem likely that Forge would return to Apex Legends at some point. Whether that was during Season 4 or some time after, it was presumed he was lying in wait somewhere.

These theories, of course, made their way to Respawn and its developers. One developer, Moy Parra, was in the midst of responding to fans when this tweet popped up:

If this is to be believed, it appears that Revenant really did murder Forge. However, the community is skeptical when it comes to trusting the word of Apex Legends developers. The evidence for Forge being alive is strong and Respawn wouldn’t confirm he’s alive if their plan is to surprise the fans.

So, as of right now, we really don’t know if Forge will return. Though, the chances seem pretty even for either option at this point.
