Astralis #1 CSGO HLTV ranking Faze Clan 100 Thieves

With IEM Beijing coming to an end, this week’s HLTV CSGO ranking changes reflect the conclusion of the event. Astralis once again sits at the very top of the rankings, with Evil Geniuses dropping to spot number two. Also, FaZe Clan and 100 Thieves climb the top 10 ladder and solidify their ranking.

Astralis back on top

For a brief moment, Evil Geniuses enjoyed the #1 spot after their victory at StarSeries i-League. While not too far behind, Astralis’ failed outing at Blast Pro Copenhagen saw FaZe Clan lift the trophy, so it seemed like EG would hold on a while longer to the #1 spot. However, Astralis stepped up big time at IEM Beijing, playing closer to how they did in 2018.

The end of the year will be a busy one for Astralis as they still have ECS Season 8 Finals coming up at the end of November and ESL Pro League Season 10 Finals in early December. To top things off, we will see Astralis face off against Team Liquid, FaZe Clan, and Ninjas in Pyjamas at BLAST Pro Series Global Final. All three events will test the Danes’ resilience to their limits. In turn, we shall see if Evil Geniuses can overcome Astralis and others to get back up to the top of the ranking.

Gla1ve’s MVP-worthy performance at StarSeries was exemplary. Can he step up again at the upcoming events?

FaZe Clan and 100 Thieves rise up in top 10

Currently at #7, FaZe Clan still does not have a complete roster ever since the shuffle that saw Jakub “neo” Kubski and Ladislav “GuardiaN” Kovács go. The team brought on Marcelo “coldzera” David, and currently FaZe is playing with a Latvian youngster, Helvijs “broky” Saukants, who is on trial basis. Despite that, FaZe found their first win recently at Blast Pro Series Copenhagen, boosting their position. FaZe is yet to prove that they are a contender for a top three spot after a period of identity crisis though.

Preview and Predictions: ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier Group B

Sitting at #6, the ex-Renegades squad 100 Thieves has come extremely close to breaking into the top 5. Trailing behind Vitality by just 13 points, who knows how far the team can go? A disappointing final performance against Astralis recently was painful, but it was good to see 100 Thieves get so far at StarSeries i-League. Hopes are high for the newly acquired roster.
