Cajunb talking with North to return to CSGO roster

Cajunb in talks with North CSGO

Danish esports organization North has allegedly entered talks with René “cajunb” Borg to have the player return to its CSGO roster. According to a report by Jarek “DeKay” Lewis, cajunb will replace the spot left vacant by Valdemar “valde” Bjørn Vangså’s departure. Valde is reportedly joining former Team Vitality player Nathan “NBK-” Schmitt and former ENCE in-game leader Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen on OG Esports.

René “cajunb” Borg

René “cajunb” Borg is a Danish CSGO player who got his start with Counter-Strike: Source in 2009. Following the release of CSGO, he moved to it and played under a number of organizations, including North. Cajunb’s most recent team, though, was OpTic Gaming. In April, his contract with OpTic expired, leading to his departure, but the team later replaced Ismail “refrezh” Ali with cajunb in August.

However, after OpTic Gaming’s parent company was acquired by Immortals Gaming Club, the IGC revealed that the CSGO team would be divested. This is because the Immortals organization already owns Brazilian esports organization MiBR. Cajunb has not signed a contract with Immortals Gaming Club, which makes this return a likely move.

North Esports CSGO

If this report is true, the new North roster would consist of Philip “aizy” Aistrup, Markus “Kjaerbye” Kjærbye, Niklas “gade” Gade, Jakob “JUGi” Hansen, and René “cajunb” Borg. The North organization promoted valde to the team captain position in May, which means someone else like Kjaerbye will have to take the reigns. Torbjørn “mithR” Nyborg will remain as the coach for the CSGO roster.

The North organization plays their next matches in Season 10 of Europe’s ESL Pro League. The news of cajunb entering talks with North adds more credibility toward previous rumors of OG Esports signing valde as they enter CSGO. However, North hasn’t done too well at recent events like DreamHack Masters Malmö and the StarLadder Berlin Major. Will they improve with the return of cajunb?
