Activision has been taking its time with the reveal for Call of Duty 2020, but that doesn’t seem to stop leaks. Earlier today, multiple new pieces of information regarding COD 2020 were unleashed on social media. As of right now, it appears that the 2020 title is simply named “Black Ops.” This does follow the trend set by Modern Warfare this year. To back this up, there’s some new artwork that was leaked. Topping everything off, the PlayStation Store looks to have signaled when we could see gameplay of COD 2020.
Call of Duty 2020 artwork leaked?
During this time of year, we can’t take anything as a certainty. Most leaks that surface are either completely fictional or loosely based around the truth. However, an image popped up today that has fans excited and thinking this could be the real deal.
At first glance, the image does appear to look legitimate. The font is the traditional Call of Duty style and the background looks extremely well done. The background of the image also points to the title being set in the Cold War, which was previously rumored. There’s no way to tell for sure though on its own.
PlayStation Store leaks COD 2020
Popular Call of Duty leaker TheGamingRevolution has reported that the PlayStation Store actually contains files that relate to COD 2020. In his latest video, the leaker shows that you can download the files on your PlayStation 4 for the alpha version of the game.
Of course, the game, titled Black Ops or otherwise, will not be playable to most, if anyone. Though, the fact that the files are now in the system could signal that we’re close to seeing a reveal. A possible date and time could be the PlayStation 5 event on Thursday, June 11. This is merely an educated guess, however.
Hopefully, these leaks are legitimate and they’re just the start for COD 2020. More leaks should stream in whenever the game is fully revealed, so stay tuned to Daily Esports for all developments!
