In many FPS and battle royale games, bullet penetration through certain objects is expected. But when it’s used to score kills in unexpected situations, it becomes really epic. This happened today with Call of Duty professional Seth “Scump” Abner in a game of Call of Duty: Warzone. A clip was posted on the Chicago Huntsmen player’s Twitter page showing the wild “wallbang” in action.
The wallbang occurred in a match for the Code Green tournament. This is a Warzone tournament sponsored by CashApp and BoomTV. In this tournament, many Call of Duty players and a variety of content creators battled it out for a $50,000 prize pool. For this event, Scump teamed up with Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag and Dennis “Cloakzy” Lepore.
Scump shoots a player through the roof
In the clip, Scump appears to spot enemy players on the roof of a warehouse in a helicopter. At first, he attempts to use a Semtex against the players. After this, Scump enters the warehouse with caution before shooting at the roof. Quickly, he realizes that damage is being dealt as hitmarkers appear on his screen, leading to the player’s death. Clearly, the reaction from Scump shows how unbelievable the wallbang spot is.

Getting killed in this situation could be extremely frustrating as there is no way for players on the roof to respond. Also, being shot through a roof may eliminate any height advantage a player has over others. However, that’s just the risk that is taken with certain building materials.
It would be interesting to see if Infinity Ward ever decides to roll back on this concept by making such materials impenetrable, but it’s unlikely. In the meantime, Call of Duty fans can view the progress of bugs and glitches on the official Modern Warfare Trello board.
