Cloud9 announces official Apex Legends roster

Cloud9 roster Apex Legends roster

Cloud9 has joined the Apex Legends scene after announcing their roster today.

Jamison “PVPX” Moore was the first person to join Cloud9 as a content creator for Apex Legends back in February. Shortly after that, Greg “Grego” McAllen joined the team as well. You may already know Grego from being on the Cloud9 Overwatch squad prior to the Overwatch League starting. Both of these players have been playing Apex Legends under the Cloud9 name for the past month. We recently spoke to Grego on his path to being a pro Apex player to see just what it takes to get there.

So who’s next?

Today the official announcement came by way of a nice teaser video and tweet on the official Cloud9 Twitter page. Joseph “Frexs” Sanchez and Justin “Chappie” Andrews join PVPX and Grego to make a full four-man roster. Both of these players come from the former Cloud9 PUBG team. They already have a bit of competitive Apex Legends experience under their belt. They participated in the first official Twitch Rivals Apex Legends event alongside Brian “Kephrii” St. Pierre. The team ended up placing fifth, so we should be seeing a lot more from them now that they have an established squad to practice and run with. All of these players have the experience to be able to perform well.

Cloud9 now joins other big-name organizations such as 100 Thieves, NRG, and TSM to invest time and money into this new game. Another Twitch Rivals event has been announced to take place soon so the team can get their first official event out of the way to see how they do. Will other organizations begin to follow, or will this just be a fad that dies out within the next few months? Do you think more organizations should be taking part in this scene? Let us know what you think with some comments.
