Cloud9 has announced that they parted ways with PUBG player Brandon Cole “Sixless” Patterson following the player’s statements on the Indian PUBG Mobile community.
How Sixless got kicked out of Cloud9
Sixless’ removal from the Cloud9 empire started off as an argument between him and some members of the Indian PUBG Mobile community. The PUBG Mobile pro got into an exchange of tweets with members of the community earlier in the week. His tweets did not go unnoticed by Team Soul’s Aman “Aman” Jain, who subsequently called Sixless out on his stream. The former Cloud9 player then took to Instagram and posted a bunch of IG stories insulting Indian pro players and the entire community.
He stated that most Indian pro players could not compete at the world stage and choked in games. In another series of IG stories, he called the Indian community toxic. He also said that apart from Fnatic and Entity, all other Indian teams were only good at taking 12th place.
Sixless went on to say that Indians were dumb for hyping Team Soul’s Naman “Mortal” Sandeep. According to Sixless, China’s Zhu “Paraboy” Bocheng is far better than Mortal.
The aftermath of the Instagram stories
The player’s IG stories infuriated a lot of people in the community. A lot of fans were particularly annoyed with his recognition of only two teams in India’s PUBG Mobile scene. His targeted statements towards Mortal also did not sit well with the faithful fans.
However, some people supported Sixless, stating that the player was only trash talking. They also dismissed Cloud9’s decision to remove him from the team. Nonetheless, a player’s right to trash talk should be done within acceptable limits. Even though the player was reacting to comments which may have provoked him, he should have kept it professional. Instead, his actions have led to his removal from North America’s biggest PUBG Mobile team.
