After a lackluster start to the 2019 LCS Summer Split, it looks more promising for 100 Thieves. The North American esports organization took home the win against Echo Fox in today’s League of Legends match. This was 100 Thieves’ first win of the split after struggling with different roster lineups in recent weeks.

100 Thieves in 2019 LCS Summer Split
In 100 Thieves’ last match, they suffered a loss to Golden Guardians. They stood at 10th place in the 2019 LCS Summer Standings with a 0-5 record. Their next opponent after the match against GGS, Echo Fox, was in 9th place with 1 win and 4 losses.
100 Thieves announced on Twitter their new mix for the game against Echo Fox. This updated roster lineup consisted of Bae “Bang” Jun-sik, Zaqueri “aphromoo” Black, Maurice “Amazing” Stückenschneider, Aaron “FakeGod” Lee, and Yoo “Ryu” Sang-wook. Some fans reacted to the tweet with a negative stance, as Ryu’s play in the match against Golden Guardians wasn’t great. FakeGod did not play as big of a role either in the last game.
Ultimately, their efforts paid off and 100 Thieves came out victorious against Echo Fox. Now both teams are tied for 9th place, with FlyQuest only 1 loss away. After the long-awaited win by 100T, fans of the organization were jubilant in the community Discord. However, the same could not be said of those rooting for Echo Fox. One fan of the team owned by Rick Fox said, “Welp, time for our turn to be 10th.”
What do you think about 100 Thieves’ future in the 2019 LCS Summer Split? They play their next match against Cloud9, a team currently ranked first. In the 2018 NA LCS Spring Split, 100 Thieves finished the season with 12 wins and 6 losses. Theoretically, they could still make it to the 2019 World Championships…
