This week, Supercars will have yet another stellar wildcard line up. McLaren F1 driver Lando Norris will make his debut in the Supercars E-Series tonight. He’ll be driving alongside the Aussies in a Walkinshaw Andrew United ZB Commodore.

Lando Norris joins lineup with other wildcards

Lando Norris is now the second F1 driver to join the Supercars E-Series. Four weeks ago, Max Verstappen joined in the fun. Norris, a 20-year-old driver from the U.K., has a fair amount of experience sim racing. He’s one of the most recognized competitors in iRacing and should be a really good match for the current Supercars lineup. Alongside Lando Norris, James Courtney will take his place on the grid. Courtney won the Supercars Championship in 2010. Like last week‘s drivers, Courtney has a lot of experience on the track. He’s been driving karts, Formula A, Supercars, and Formula Ford. Whilst he might not have as much experience in the sim as Norris, Courtney has been practicing:

I’ve been practicing on my Next Level Racing simulator since the Eseries began so will be interesting to see how I go against some familiar competition… I’ve raced in Europe before, but not from my lounge room so will be interesting to see how I go, really looking forward to testing myself in a Supercar again.

In the official press release, Courtney commented on his excitement at getting back in the car. Two more wildcards will also join Norris and Courtney in the sim. Super2 rookies (Supercars’ second category) Broc Feeney and Jayden Ojeda will also be part of this week’s lineup.
