FaZe Clan acquire Red Reserve’s CWL Pro League spot

FaZe Clan acquire Red Reserve CWL Pro League spot Zoomaa

After failing to qualify for the CWL Pro League, there were rumors that FaZe Clan had found another way into the competitive Call of Duty league. FaZe has acquired the CWL Pro League spot that was owned by Red Reserve, an organization that has since disbanded due to financial issues and new company direction.

The new FaZe Clan roster

The new roster consists of previous FaZe Clan and existing Red Reserve players. CWL Pro League rules state that a team that acquires another team’s spot has to keep at least one player from the prior roster to be eligible. Three of the players include former FaZe members Tommy “ZooMaa” Paparatto, McArthur “Cellium” Jovel, and Obey “Asim” Asim. The roster also includes former Red Reserve players Matthew “Skrapz” Marshall and Trei “Zer0” Morris.

Rumors from various players on Reddit and Twitter had indicated that Red Reserve had disbanded and FaZe was in talks to take their place. Skrapz tweeted about the possible change, but the community wasn’t sure if this was Skrapz joking around again.

FaZe’s other players

After failing to qualify in January, FaZe Clan loaned out James “Crowder” Crowder and Preston “Priestahh” Greiner to 100 Thieves. Dillion “Attach” Price was also loaned out to Evil Geniuses. Cellium played with FaZe Clan Black’s roster and ZooMaa became OpTic’s emergency substitute.

Red Reserve held a 5-win and 6-loss record in Division A, tied with Luminosity. The new roster features talent from FaZe’s previous lineup and also star players from Red Reserve. However, the team has only just been formed and may have initial chemistry issues due to this factor.

The new FaZe Clan roster debuts at CWL London from May 3-5. They will be in Pool C, alongside eUnited, Team Envy, and Evil Geniuses.
