Florida Mutineers roster 2020 CDL

After what seems like an eternity, the Florida Mutineers have unveiled their starting roster for 2020. Now, officially, every Call of Duty League team has a set starting roster. The Mutineers waited for months to announce their players for reasons unknown. Although we already knew the entirety of the roster by watching the team scrimmage together every day, it’s now official, and Florida has a young and promising lineup. A mix of different roles and experience, Florida should be a middle-of-the-road team come 2020 with some potential for a top spot.

Here’s the official Florida Mutineers starting roster:

  • Preston “Prestinni” Sanderson
  • Bradley “Frosty” Bergstrom
  • Chance “Maux” Moncivaez
  • Colt “Havok” McLendon
  •  Cesar “Skyz” Bueno
  • Ricky “Atura” Lugo (Head Coach)

The Mutineers announce their roster

Unlike other current Call of Duty League teams, each player on the Florida roster participated in the CWL Pro League last year, so the experience for each player is present as well as the talent. While the skill level isn’t up to par with that of teams like Dallas or Chicago, the ceiling is high.

Similar to how other teams built their roster, Florida paired some players together who already possess chemistry. Maux and Havok were on the Gen.G roster during Black Ops 4, racking up numerous high placements throughout the year.

While no one else on the roster has played together before, the Mutineers did land a world champ in Prestinni. Playing for eUnited since 2017, Prestinni has perhaps the most tournament experience out of anyone on the roster.

As for Skyz and Frosty, they’ve been around for the past couple of years. Frosty was on the dominant OpTic Gaming Halo roster from 2015-2017 but decided to switch to COD in 2017. Skyz doesn’t have a lot of professional COD experience but was on a solid Luminosity roster last year.

A look at when Florida will host the Call of Duty League

The Mutineers aren’t the best roster in the CDL by any means but have some solid players. The biggest question with the team is who will step up into the dominant slayer role. Most of these players are used to being role/objective players. Florida will need a consistent slayer to match the other teams currently in the CDL.
