Time and time again we’ve seen giants of the entertainment industry collaborate with Epic Games and Fortnite. From Marvel’s Avengers to Batman, it seems like every massive movie release wants to team up with Fortnite. Well, with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order launching today and a movie releasing shortly after, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that another collaboration is live in Fortnite. With Star Wars being one of the biggest pop culture phenomenons, their linkup with Epic Games seems like destiny.
The Fortnite x Star Wars collaboration
These collaborations between Fortnite and other entertainment entities are beneficial to both sides. The publicity Fortnite draws in not only helps the game but helps whatever they’re promoting. Whether it be a movie or video game, like the Borderlands 3 mashup, Epic Games seems willing to team up with anyone.
While this time around there aren’t any game- or map-altering features, a Star Destroyer can be seen looming in the distance now. More importantly, the Fortnite Item Shop now features the iconic Imperial Stormtrooper skin. If you buy Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order on the Epic Games Store, you receive the Imperial Stormtrooper skin for free in Fortnite.

Also coming with this update is a new Fishstick style, as seen in the collaboration trailer. It seems like this new style, that of a soldier, is here to help combat the influx of Stormtroopers on the island. If you have purchased the Fishstick skin, the new design is now unlocked in your skin locker.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order costs $60 on the Epic Games Store and Steam and is being touted as the best Star Wars game in years. If you decide not to buy the new Star Wars title, the Imperial Stormtrooper skin will cost 1,500 V-Bucks.
