fortnite chapter 2 - season black panther

It appears that Epic Games is planning on introducing every Marvel superhero possible into Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 4. Yesterday, the new season went live with seven Marvel skins featured in the Battle Pass. However, leaks started rolling in throughout the day that hinted at additional heroes coming soon. There were rumors of Spider-Man, Carnage, and maybe Venom making an appearance in the Item Shop. Although, those might pale in comparison to Black Panther, who had some new abilities leaked through the Fortnite game files. This “99% confirms” the hero will make a debut in Season 4.

Black Panther coming to Fortnite Season 4

This leak comes from a few different reputable sources within the community. These sources were correct about nearly everything prior to Season 4 releasing so while their word isn’t official, it’s as close as we’re going to get.

Two dataminers, @HYPEX and @ShiinaBR are behind this leak regarding Black Panther. Apparently, files were added to Fortnite yesterday that confirm the hero’s arrival. Two new ability icons are now present in the files that would only be there if Epic Games were planning to have Black Panther make his debut.

These ability icons look exactly like the ones currently in Season 4 for both Groot and Doctor Doom. So while Epic Games hasn’t confirmed it, Black Panther looks to be a certainty at some point. It also appears he won’t be just an Item Shop skin, as other leaks indicate we could be getting an entire POI based around the hero.

When Season 4 was just beginning yesterday, HYPEX datamined a location named “Panther Monument.” Of course, this directly correlates with the Wakandian hero and could be a mid-season addition. The location would likely feature the watery battleground where new Black Panthers fight against challengers in the Marvel movie.
