The Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 4 Week 9 challenges are now live and that means an all new set of XP tasks. There are seven total challenges in this week’s batch and over 200,000 XP is up for grabs. As the season begins to draw to a close, every bit of XP is valuable for players looking to hit max level on the Battle Pass. However, two of the tasks on the Week 9 set have players a little confused and unable to receive the XP. So the question remains, where is Heart Lake and Upstate New York in Fortnite?

Where to find Heart Lake and Upstate New York in Fortnite

The exact challenges in question can be seen below.

  • Search Chests at Upstate New York (0/7)
  • Catch fish at Heart Lake

For longtime veterans of Fortnite, this is the first time that they’re hearing of either of these locations. Neither are a legitimate POI on the Season 4 map, and neither have been seen on a challenge list before. Of course, that was when Marvel heroes weren’t invading the game.

Both Heart Lake and Upstate New York can be found at the same place. Upstate New York refers to Stark Industries, which, is the home of Tony Stark’s operations. Of course, in the Marvel movies, the real Stark Industries was in Upstate New York, so the reference makes sense. Searching seven chests here will complete the challenge.

As for Heart Lake, this is the body of water that’s located directly adjacent to the red and white building. All you have to do on the lake is catch the required number of fish, which shouldn’t be difficult at all once you find a fishing rod.

Both of these tasks should only take a few matches provided you live longer than a minute or so. Once they’re done, you can focus on the other challenges in the Week 9 set.
