Fortnite Epic Games Winterfest leaked by data-miners

Fortnite‘s winter event, Winterfest, is set to kick off tomorrow, Dec. 17. The event will run to Jan. 6 and feature tons of content along the way. We’ve already seen a plethora of leaked skins and a snow-covered map that will be available for Winterfest. However, thanks to dataminers, some of the event’s cinematics were leaked as well. Epic Games might be the king of in-game events and mini-movies, as we’ve seen with the seasonal Fortnite Battle Pass videos. So, it’s no surprise to see them introduce new cinematics for Winterfest. Let’s take a look at the leaked videos and some other Winterfest details.

Leaked Winterfest details

Despite the practically guaranteed authenticity of the leaks, don’t be surprised to see some minor details tweaked or removed completely before the event’s release tomorrow. That said, dataminers we able to obtain multiple screenshots and videos showcasing Winterfest. These aren’t related to gameplay but do revolve around the Winterfest Presents. We covered how the presents work yesterday, so make sure to check that out as well.

Fortnite leakers @ShiinaBR, @HYPEX, and @ParaLarek were all able to secure videos/images of Winterfest.

It looks like Winterfest will be far more interactive than previous events. In the opening clip by HYPEX, we can see the Cabin that players will enter when they want to open a Winterfest Present. The Cabin is extremely well-designed and has that distinct Christmas feel to it.

In the second video by ShiinaBR, in the top-left corner, we can see that, apparently, each day of Winterfest will allow the player to open that number of Presents. So, for example, on Day 2 you can open two Presents. It’s unclear if this will keep rising with every day of Winterfest, as opening 20 Presents on Day 20 seems unlikely.

Finally, we can see some of the surrounding decors for the Cabin. One intriguing tidbit we can gather from the images is the Crackshot skin sitting in the armchair. Perhaps this is an indication he will be making a return for the event?
