On March 25, 2019, the “Four Millionaires & Paul” charity event was announced. Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, Benjamin “DrLupo” Lupo, Timothy “TimtheTatMan” Betar, Trevor May, and Paul “ActionJaxon” teamed up to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The group of friends is selling custom-designed limited edition T-shirts. All proceeds go directly to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The shirts are available at Design by Humans. The event goal is to sell over 20,000 shirts and raise over $280,000. The T-shirts are on sale now and sales are scheduled to end on April 15.
The name of the event “Four Millionaires and Paul” originated from a joke made during the roast of TimtheTatMan. Trevor May referred to the group of men as “Four Millionaires and Paul.” The joke has continued to be referenced by both streamers and their followers. Now, they are still not a successful boy band, but they use their platform to help others.
The gamers shared an image the day before the event.
DrLupo and gang released this official video explaining the event on March 25, 2019.
To date, the group has raised over $118,000 and sold over 8,400 shirts. They are well on the way to meeting and exceeding their goals.
There are two different color schemes, blue/gold and neon.
For these streamers and their communities, “Four Millionaires and Paul” is not the first time they raised money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. As the platform for gamers grows, so does the ability to give back. Ninja, DrLupo, and TimtheTatMan all participated in the 2018 GuardianCon, a charity event that raised over $2.7 million in July of 2018. DrLupo and Ninja raised the most of any streamer during their time blocks, $350,000 and $320,000 respectively. In addition, DrLupo organized two other events in support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. First, “Build Against Cancer” T-shirts in November of 2018. Secondly, DrLupo held a 24-hour stream in support of the same organization back in December. The support of these gamers helped raise millions of dollars. These events show the generous nature of the streamers and their respective followers.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is an amazing organization that cares for children regardless of their situation. No family of a child that receives treatment from the hospital receives a bill. The majority of the hospital’s funding is through donations, such as this event. St. Jude has helped people all over the world. The organization also supports various research for cures and treatment. They give every child a chance.
