Adam “friberg” Friberg has departed from Heroic following the expiry of his contract with the organization. The 27-year old experienced CSGO rifler has disclosed in a TwitLonger that he is open to offers from international as well as Swedish organizations. Perhaps Fnatic will snatch the CSGO legend? Following Fnatic’s decision to bench two of their players, it’s more than possible given the circumstances.
Heroic had a couple of opportunities this year to prove their worth but failed time and time again. A very rocky form saw the Danish team defeat Vitality 2-0 at IEM Chicago, followed by a painful loss to ENCE and a revenge from Vitality afterwards to deny Heroic entry into playoffs. A similar pattern was seen at ESL One Cologne where an initial victory over ENCE led to a blowout defeat against NiP. Followed by a win over BIG, the Danish side was again denied advancement by Vitality. The team failed to advance further on numerous occasions at various LAN tournaments, and that may have been the cause for friberg not wanting to extend his contract with the organization.
Today, we bid farewell to one of the greatest.

A very abrupt decision on behalf of the Fnatic organization left two empty seats on the roster to fill. In an AMA with JW and Samuelsson of the Fnatic team, Samuelsson made it clear that they are looking to sign at least one young and one experienced player. That experienced player may very well be the perfect position for friberg. We are probably going to see in the coming weeks who will join the ranks of Fnatic and which CSGO roster will attempt to add friberg to its ranks.
Do you think friberg will join the Swedish giants, Fnatic? As always, remember to follow us at Daily Esports for all your latest news in CSGO as well as other major esports.
I like to give out free AK-47 headshots in CS: GO, spend some quality time in the kitchen marinating a tender chicken breast and approximately 3 times a week I lift some relatively heavy metal stuff at the gym. Oh, and I also like to write about e-sports and everything related to gaming. Who knew one could have such contrasting interests?
