CSGO HLTV ranking: Godsent & Tyloo, 100 Thieves

This week’s changes to the top 30 Global Ranking by HLTV see GODSENT and TYLOO break in. Also, 100 Thieves overtook Vitality to claim the #5 spot on the CSGO ranking.

#26: TYLOO return to the top 30

The year 2019 has been dodgy for TYLOO as the CSGO team failed to break through to the top 20 of the global rankings. The Chinese powerhouse oscillated in the 20s before getting knocked down to the 40s. Now, they have made a return as they take the 26th spot on the ranking. The quite drastic rank up comes off of their recent success at eXTREMESLAND 2019 Asia Finals after destroying ViCi in the grand finale. We are yet to see TYLOO’s performance at the CSGO Asia Championships or ESL Pro League Season 10 Finals. These two events will definitely test the team’s abilities.

#22: GODSENT return to top 30 with a fresh CSGO squad

GODSENT has recently returned to CSGO after acquiring the ex-SMASH Gaming roster. The talented lineup featuring Martin “STYKO” Styk and Mikail “Maikelele” Bill is back to surely break into the top 10. For now, the GODSENT boys have already made the first step in becoming a top team as they found success at WePlay! Forge of Masters Season 2 Finals in Kiev, Ukraine. The team did not drop a single map the entire tournament including the final, where they dealt with the Danish Tricked to snatch the trophy in Eastern Europe. For now, the team does not have any major tournaments planned. Surely though, with such a roster, invites to future events in 2020 are going to be flying in in no time.

#5: 100 Thieves overtake the bleeding Vitality

On a side note, 100 Thieves have overtaken Vitality on the ranking. 100T finished 2nd at the recent IEM Beijing after falling to Astralis and finished 4th at StarSeries i-League Season 8. Meanwhile, the French team housing one of the great talents of the scene, Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut, hasn’t had much luck in its recent placements, placing lower than 100 Thieves.

How long can ZywOo keep carrying Vitality for?

Both teams will get the chance to rise in the rankings come December. We’re going to see 100 Thieves do their best at ESL Pro League Finals. Meanwhile, Vitality will compete at EPICENTER 2019. Both events feature top-tier CSGO teams that may change their rankings significantly.
