Valve has just announced the dates for their Dota 2 Tournament, The International, also known as TI. This will be the 7th International tournament, held yearly since 2011.
The International will once again return to Seattle’s KeyArena, the home of TI since TI4. It will run from Monday the 7th of August to Saturday the 12th of August.
Tickets will go on sale in two batches on Tuesday, April 4th at 10:00 AM and 10:00 PM PDT. This allows people in different time zones to get a ticket without being awake at a ridiculous time.
The Midweek ticket will cost $100 and will grant attendance to the first four days of the event.
The Finals ticket will cost $200 and will grant access to the last two days.
Teams who are not invited will be able to qualify through the Open Qualifiers which will be held between the 22nd and 25th of June.
The Regional Qualifiers will follow, from the 26th to the 29th of June which will decide who makes it to the main event.
Teams are likely to be invited after the Kiev Major which is between the 27th and 30th of April. Whoever does well there and at DAC, which is currently going on is likely to be directly invited to TI.
