League of Legends Pool Party 2018

The sun is high, the heat is intense, so why not sit back and relax with the League of Legends Pool Party event for 2018?

Riot Games’ newest Pool Party event is bringing new skins, icons, wards, and emotes. Also, Riot is implementing some new loot for players to unlock. This should be another great success for players, but let us first check out the new skins they are releasing this coming August.

Dive into the new Pool Party skins!

Of course, with a new event comes new skins, and they Riot Games has not disappointed. The lineup for this round of cosmetics are Gangplank, Caitlyn and Zoe.

Pool Party Gangplank

Pool Party Gankplank is on the epic skin tier, and therefore will cost 1350 RP. He comes wielding a water pistol and a spatula that’s on fire. His ultimate is a barrage of water balloons that fall from the sky. As all epic tier skins do, he comes with completely new animations and sound effects, although he does resemble another Pool Party champion in Graves. He will also come with six different chroma variants, and a summoner icon.

Pool Party Caitlyn

Another epic tier skin, Pool Party Caitlyn also boasts new animations and sound effects. She comes onto the rift with a big Super Soaker-esque water gun, and a big ol’ sunhat. Her recall animation is pretty fun too, with Caitlyn throwing out a beach chair and a little crab fanning her with a leaf. Cait will also come complete with five other chroma variants on her bikini and hat, as well as her own summoner icon.

Pool Party Zoe

Finally, the last skin to release for the Pool Party event is Zoe. She too will have a 1350 RP price tag, and will also have six different chromas available for purchase. Her recall animation has her jumping off a diving board into a pool of water. She may have one of the best skins out of the three, next to Gangplank, as every ability looks very unique. Her Sleepy Trouble Bubble has turned into a beachball, her portal jumps are now little kiddie pools, and when enemies are put into sleep, little seagulls fly over their head.

New Loot!

Pool Party Position Orbs

League of Legends is now introducing a completely new item to the loot system! You can now purchase Position Orbs from the Riot Store for 295 RP each. These Position Orbs contain one random skin shard for a champion of the chosen position. They also have a chance to include a Crab Bag (which we will explain next), a Gemstone, or even a rare Gemstone Skin.

Pool Party Crab Bag

Another item that is available for purchase during the 2018 Pool Party event is the Crab Bag. It will contain six skin shards in total from each role, assassin, fighter, mage, marksman, support, and tank.

Loot Bundles Galore!

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Riot Games event without having loot bundles available. The orbs and crab bags all are available in certain packages. Here’s a list of them:

  • 2950 RP – 10 Top Lane Orbs + 1 Bonus Top Lane Orb
  • 2950 RP – 10 Jungle Orbs + 1 Bonus Jungle Orb
  • 2950 RP – 10 Mid Lane Orbs + 1 Bonus Mid Lane Orb
  • 2950 RP – 10 Marksman Orbs + 1 Bonus Marksman Orb
  • 2950 RP – 10 Support Orbs + 1 Bonus Support Orb

There will also be the BBQ Sampler Pack, which includes four of each position orb, as well as a crab bag. It will cost 5900 RP. A larger, pricier pack called the King Crab Bag Bundle will also be available. It includes five of each position orb, one gemstone, one Crab Bag, and the exclusive Tasty Beverage Icon.

Additionally, the famous game mode One-For-All will be returning to the sandy shores of the Summoner’s Rift for a limited time! So pack up your swimsuit, lay on the sunscreen and get ready for some fun in the sun with your friends from August 2nd to August 13! For all the details, check out the Riot Games official website.
