Enrique “Maister” Hernández Solís won Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Singles at The Box: Juice Box #21 on December 2. It marked his first victory at Team Liquid’s weekly tournament series since Juice Box #16 in October.

Maister cleanly swept into top 32, flawlessly conquering opponents like Adrian “Ninja” Reber and Justice “JustTheIce” A. in the process. He then emerged victorious in a couple of closer sets, defeating both David “LeoN” Leon and Yezre’el “Yez” Askew 2 – 1. In doing so, Maister earned himself a spot in winners side of top 8.

Maister kicked off top 8 in a commanding manner, beating Tanner “SKITTLES!!” Jordan 3 – 0. His next matches weren’t much closer, as he earned 3 – 1 victories over Luke “KirbyKid” Richmond and Nicholas “Ned” Dovel. As a result, Maister solidly finished in 1st place at The Box: Juice Box #21.

Ned defeated Dehavon “Jr” Deshields and Brett “8BitMan” Esposito in top 64, but lost to SKITTLESS!! in Winners Quarters. However, he proceeded to make an impressive losers run, ultimately finishing in 2nd place at The Box: Juice Box #21. Ned started his run by eliminating Jesus “MastaMario” Fragoza 2-1, Spencer “BestNess” Garner 3-0, and Carlos “Sonix” Pérez 3-2. In addition, he won his runback against SKITTLESS!! 3-1 and beat KirbyKid 3-1 in Losers Finals.

Conversely, KirbyKid had an unexpected run through the winners bracket en route to 3rd place. He reached top 16 with 2 – 1 victories over Juan “Hungrybox” DeBiedma and Spencer “BestNess” Garner (prompting a pop-off from both him and his dad). KirbyKid also beat Samuel “Dabuz” Buzby’s secondaries 2 – 0 and Sonix 3 – 2.

SKITTLES!! rounded out the top 4 at The Box: Juice Box #21. Naturally, he scored several solid wins in the process. SKITTLESS!! defeated “Dufaux” 2 – 0, Colin “colinies” Landals 2 – 1, Ned 2 – 0, and Noah “Sharp” McCulley 3 – 2.
