Will 2016 be a comeback year for Na‘Vi?

Gathering a huge fan base after their top performing plays in Dota 2 history, NaVi (abbreviation of Natus Vincere, meaning ‘Born to Win’) has always been the team to watch out for in every prestigious tournament. After almost three years on the pedestal, Na’Vi were knocked out in the lower bracket at The International 2014 and people conclude it as a mark to an end of an era.

The current roster of NaVi is composed of Danil ‘Dendi’ Ishutin, the most charismatic player of Dota 2, famous for being a solo mid player. He’s well known not only for his exceptional Pudge and Invoker but also for his loyalty to the team. Akbar ‘SoNNeiko’ Butaev takes the support role for NaVi. He took the responsibilities of a captain after ArtStyle transferred it to him in late 2015. Dmitrii ‘Ditya-Ra’ Minenkov plays as a carry with his extensive hero pool and efficiency to cooperate with his teammates. He also garnered a reputation of an extremely attentive and calm player. Ivan ‘ArtStyle’ Antonov currently performs a support role for the team after he led the team to ace at The International 2015 EU Qualifier. Victor ‘General’ Nigrini is also a young talent who usually played as a mid laner. He needed to switch to off lane after being a part of NaVi and his aggressive plays caught the fancy of the fans.

They seemed to be in a low profile after they participated only in a handful of tournaments and performed unsatisfactorily in 2015. However, 2016 might be a comeback year for Na‘Vi. They are performing pretty well earlier this year after earning 2nd and 3rd spots at the StarLadder i-League and Dota Pit League Season 4, respectively. If they continue having impressive teamplays, they are to enjoy that limelight again. Where do you think NaVi will place in Manila?
