Other results from Shine 2019 Smash Ultimate Doubles

Likely due to an oversight, Eric “Pandarian” Lund & Reyhan “Duwang” Ticehurst were unseeded in Shine 2019 Ultimate Doubles. As a result, they were projected to go 0-2. Despite this, the duo placed 5th, even reaching top 8 on winners side. Along the way, they beat Ezra “Samsora” Morris & Nairo and Andrew “Shyguy” Giannico & Liam “Phantom” Giannico.

Dominick “NickC” Cuccurullo & Jonathan “Venia” Grullon lost their very first set to Leonardo “S…” Calle & Alyssa “AC” M. Afterwards, they put together a phenomenal losers run. NickC & Venia managed to advance out of pools, winning their runback against S… & AC.

In top 32, NickC & Venia ran through a gauntlet of difficult opponents. They defeated Antony “MuteAce” Hoo & Luis “Lui$” Oceguera, Troy “Puppeh” Wells & Zack “ZD” Darby, Salem & Jason “Mew2King” Zimmerman, and Corey “Exciled” Adams & Raffi “Raffi-X” Azar.
