From the looks of it, the arrival of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is imminent. Unfortunately, it’s not what most fans were expecting, as only the campaign seems to be releasing. While Modern Warfare 2 has one of the most memorable stories, that’s not why players love the game. Regardless, this seems to be the route Activision has chosen to take according to the Modern Warfare files and a leaker’s information. We recently received the artwork for the Campaign remaster as well as a release date from an inside source.
Modern Warfare 2 Campaign arriving soon?
If you missed last week’s reports, Modern Warfare 2 Remastered will allegedly only arrive with the Campaign mode. The multiplayer doesn’t appear to be releasing by itself. Instead, Activision will remaster certain MW2 maps and introduce them into Modern Warfare multiplayer.
This is a huge letdown for any fan of the old-school Call of Duty titles. However, the Campaign is nothing to slouch at, as it contains some of the most memorable moments and missions from the entire franchise. It remains to be seen though how Activision plans to deal with the infamous “No Russian” mission.
In regards to a release date, a notable leaker by the name of Okami13 has provided some intel. According to @TheGamingRevo2, Okami13 said that the release for Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered is Tuesday, March 30.
I just spoke to @Okami13_, and according to him, Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered is releasing next Monday on the 30th of March!

Of course, this isn’t anything concrete. It’s worth noting though that Okami13 has been correct about a large portion of Call of Duty information before it was revealed. We still have no details on a price or delivery system for the remaster, so we’ll have to wait for an official announcement from Activision. If Okami13 is correct, then that should be coming in the next few days.
