Modern Warfare has seen its fair share of glitches and bugs within its first month or so. From game-breaking bugs to some minor issues, Infinity Ward has been relatively good about patching them quickly. While some argue they shouldn’t make it past testing, multiplayer titles will always have some bugs.
However, the competitive community has seen more issues this year than in years past. From a bomb defuse glitch to now, competitive players are not happy with Infinity Ward. Recently, with the Season 1 update, a new bug emerged that makes Search and Destroy (SnD) nearly unplayable.
A new bomb glitch in Search and Destroy
If there’s a bug within Modern Warfare, it’s found almost immediately by the community. This most recent issue was found by a competitive SnD player after the Season 1 update.

If you’re unfamiliar with Search and Destroy, this is a game-breaking problem. Half of the game is to find out where the bomb is on the map. However, this glitch shows you exactly where the bomb is and who has it.
Once an enemy that does have the bomb shoots their weapon, the bomb icon will appear over their head. Since players shoot their weapons quite regularly when they’re on offense, this is a real problem. A strategy has since emerged where one player on the defensive side sits in the back of the map and calls out where the bomb is to their teammates.
Knowing the location of the bomb puts the offensive side at even more of a disadvantage. Thus, the bomb carrier has to be careful about shooting their weapon, which can be difficult to do in Search and Destroy. Infinity Ward has yet to comment on this issue. However, a fix should be incoming within the next update (hopefully).
