It looks like everyone’s favorite masked hook swordsman is coming back to Mortal Kombat 11. Kabal has been confirmed for the game and is looking better than ever. Most of his tools are back and he’s got a slick new set of styles. Is he going to be your main when you get into the action?
Kabal was announced on February 5, 2019 on the NetherRealm official Kombat Kast on Twitch. Kabal pretty much kicked off the Kast, starting off with a reveal trailer before Ed Boon and team jumped right into demonstrating and exploring the character more deeply. Kabal is billed as a character that’s easy to start with, complete with more than a few unique opportunities in his special moves.
Kabal features a lot of classic favorite keys to his playstyle. His buzzsaw and nomad dash are back and better than ever, allowing for a good close-in and projectile game. His buzzsaw also has an aerial downward version. Of course, he has his hook swords as well that make him a good poker. He has good reach and can reach out to mess with folks at range before getting up close and personal with his combos on an opening. Overall, Kabal is looking like a strong character in Mortal Kombat 11 and his style and visuals look absolutely stellar.
Kabal joins Kano in the latest set of reveals.
