Overtime Esports is a French esports organization that qualified for the 2019 CWL Pro League Qualifier. Wailers “Wailers” Locart, Ryan “ZeeK” Lapierre, Lucas “rizK” Derambure, Paul “Breszy” Breszynski, and Nathan “Natshay” Dupuis made up the qualifying roster. Shortly after, Overtime Esports sold the CWL Pro League spot to Denial Esports. However, it seems Denial Esports allegedly has not paid for the spot yet.

On May 15, Overtime Esports released a statement on Twitter in both English and French. Since the Call of Duty team had been acquired, the French organization explained it had been active. This was because it had allegedly not received any of the “several tens of thousands of euros” that the CWL Pro League spot was sold for.
“Then it was an evil for a good in the end, [as] the money recovered from the spot would have allowed us to prosper our projects and make us pass a new level in esports,” described Overtime Esports about the situation. “Unfortunately, nothing has happened as planned since that day.”
Overtime Esports then explained in the statement that “measures have been taken and procedures have been launched.” However, the organization “cannot go into any more detail at this time.” This is unlike the situations of organizations Elevate and FaZe Clan, which purchased the CWL Pro League spots of Excelerate Gaming and Red Reserve respectively.
This new allegation comes along with its current situation. Three former French Call of Duty players have accused the organization of unpaid salaries as well. These include Nathan “Natshay” Dupuis, Ryan “ZeeK” Lapierre, and Lucas “rizK” Derambure, who claim Denial has been stalling from paying their salaries.
How do you think this situation will be resolved?
