Pocket Gamer Launchpad

Starting tomorrow, July 23, 2020, Pocket Gamer will hold its very first Pocket Gamer Launchpad event to celebrate new, upcoming, or updated iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch games. Publishers and developers will be able to use this event to promote their games, giving them the same spotlight console games typically receive at E3. There are multiple launch events throughout the year for PC and console games, but mobile titles don’t have a similar platform—until now.

Launchpad will run online on July 23-25, 2020. Perhaps one day it will have a physical presence, but in this pandemic-world, it’s digital-only. Throughout each day, PG will run a live video stream with game announcements, showcases, hands-on demonstrations, and interviews with developers. There will also be offers and giveaways as well, which you will not want to miss.

Pocket Gamer Launchpad Schedule

While the content may be different each day, the general streaming schedule will be the same. The official website has the schedule in British Summer Time (BST), but I’ve kindly converted it to ET for you.

4:00 AM ET – The first news stories of the day go live on the Pocket Gamer website.
5:00 AM ET – Beginning of scheduled activity on Discord and YouTube.
2:00 PM ET – The official live stream begins.
4:30 PM ET – Live stream recordings posted on site.

To follow along with the scheduled activity on Discord and YouTube, join the Pocket Gamer Discord and follow (or subscribe) to its YouTube channel.

While the Pocket Gamer-owning company, the Steel Media Network, is obviously sponsoring this event, it’s not alone. Our own media network, Enthusiast Gaming Media, is a sponsor, as well as the Smartphone Alliance Network. Numerous influencer partners are involved as well.

Launchpad was originally only going to include iOS and Android mobile gaming, but thanks to popular demand, Pocket Gamer will feature Switch titles as well. To be fair, the Switch can be considered a pocket gaming device (I know I certainly do), so it’s fitting in the end.

Are you going to check out what the first official Launchpad event has to offer? Let us know in the comments below, and stick with Daily Esports for any relevant news from the event.
