Radiance PUBG

On Monday, esports organization Radiance revealed that their newest roster is for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG). The team was created in order to try and qualify for the upcoming PUBG Global Series tournaments. For those unfamiliar with Radiance, it is led by CEO Hai “Hai” Lam. Hai is a former pro League of Legends player who competed for Cloud9.

The new Radiance PUBG roster

Radiance’s new roster consists of four players and team manager Ryan “Logic” Hayes. Headlining the team is Kevin “Miccoy” Linn, who will be the roster’s in-game leader. Miccoy brings over two years of experience competing in online PUBG tournaments. It is important to note that PUBG esports is still very new, so most players will not have direct tournament experience. Because of this, Miccoy’s background is unique in the scene.

Another player with competitive experience is Benjamin “Nerf” Wheeler. Nerf has a history in the PUBG competitive scene, as he’s competed for teams such as Cloud9 and Genesis. During his time with Cloud9, before the squad left to play under Genesis, he managed to find success with the limited tournaments available. Two notable placements were when the team took second place in the NPL Royale Phase 1 and 2 in February and May 2019, respectively.

Finalizing the roster are Joshua “Aghila” Parganel and Andrew “Baddylul” Kitts. Aghila’s most significant success thus far was his victory in the National PUBG League: Contenders. Alongside his team PlayerOne Esports, he won the first phase of the event. Baddylul, on the other hand, has won both the PUBG Amateur League and the 303 Royal Pro League.
