One side quest that almost every player will take on in Cyberpunk 2077 is “Shoot to Thrill.” Given to you by gun shop owner Wilson, this gig involves a shooting contest. Wilson gives you a call at the start of Act 2 and discusses how he’s down on his luck with the shop. In order to try and turn this around, Wilson decides to throw a shooting contest in hopes that participants will buy merchandise. The reward for winning the contest is a rare pistol that can deal some real damage if upgraded. However, the competition isn’t as easy as it seems, so some players have been looking for a guide on how to win Shoot to Thrill.

How to complete Shoot to Thrill in Cyberpunk 2077

Upon Wilson calling you with the gig, it’s wise to get to the shooting range as quickly as possible. The pistol he gives you as a reward, the M-10AF Lexington, doesn’t stack with your level. So the more you level up, the less powerful it will be.

The shooting range is located on the same floor as V’s apartment. Once you get off the elevator, simply head straight and find Wilson at the front of his store. He’ll explain how the contest works once you’re in position. In order to win the competition easily, take Wilson’s advice and shoot the targets in other competitor’s lanes. You need a score of 40 to complete the quest.

To maximize your score, make sure to hit every target multiple times. This will further increase your score and allow you to reach 4o much faster. The best weapon to use in the competition is a fast-firing pistol or submachine gun. It might take a few tries to understand how the contest works, but if you follow our guide, you’ll be done with Shoot to Thrill in no time.
