Call of Duty Warzone Ranked Infinity Ward

One of the most controversial topics in Call of Duty: Warzone is skill-based matchmaking. Though Infinity Ward has claimed Warzone doesn’t have this feature, many professional players disagree based on personal experiences. One of these players is former Call of Duty pro Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag, who has hundreds of hours in Warzone. Within these hours, Nadeshot has racked up a ton of kills, which seems to have put him into lobbies with other highly-skilled players. It’s because of this experience that Nadeshot feels Warzone should feature some kind of Ranked playlist, and others in the community agree.

Nadeshot speaks out about matchmaking in Warzone

Since Warzone released, Nadeshot has been streaming the game for hours upon hours on Twitch. In this time, he claims to have faced off against other professional players who live thousands of miles away, which correlates with skill-based matchmaking.

Of course, there’s no hard data or statements to back this up. However, it has been proven that skill-based matchmaking is within Modern Warfare multiplayer. So, it’s not a huge leap to say that the mechanic also made its way to Warzone.

Regardless of this, Nadeshot and many other talented players in the community are calling for Infinity Ward to implement a Ranked playlist into Warzone.

Again, there’s no official data backing up what the 100 Thieves CEO is saying. But, there’s no denying what he has experienced. For example, someone like Tyler “Ninja” Blevins lives in the midwest, which is far away from where Nadeshot lives in Los Angeles. If connection was the superior proponent in matchmaking, this wouldn’t happen.

Of course, these problems would be resolved if Infinity Ward were to institute a Ranked playlist. This would allow highly-skilled players to match up but also have some kind of rank tier to show off for performing well. However, the developers haven’t even introduced a Ranked mode into Modern Warfare. This makes it unlikely they would add one for Warzone.
