Sony just wrapped up another fantastic conference on the E3 Stage. Following with last year’s theme of nostalgia their stage presence was very well perceived. The curtains open to reveal Kratos taking his Son on their first hunt together, to say the least, things don’t go exactly as planned and they are attacked by a troll of some kind.
Sony at E3 2016: This new god of war title looks like and exciting thrill ride, and change of pace for the god of war series introducing open world environments and more in depth RPG elements. The evolution of the series is shaping up to be something a little different than we are used to, but I think it’s headed in a good direction.
Days Gone looks like a great addition to the open world zombie genre, with literal waves of zombies crashing over each other and filling every available space with relentless eating machines, this game feels a lot like dead rising but with more zombies and very detailed environments.
The Last Guardian looks like an emotional trek into a beautiful cell shaded environment made by the same studio that brought us the cult classic Ico. This is a definite buy.
A new IP for Sony, Horizon: Zero Dawn looks like a very ambitious and successful blend of the Far Cry and Crysis Franchises, set in a post-apocalyptic world inhabited by giant robotic wildlife this game offers incredible environments, crafting, mounts, skill upgrades combined with an imaginative interpretation of technology gone wild, I will definitely be following the development of this game closely as it has been delayed out of 2016.
Resident Evil 7, which will be playable from start to finish on PlayStation VR looks like a fantastic expansion to the Resident Evil universe and a needed Genre anchor for VR, hopefully, the gameplay translates well. Coming January 24, 2017

Call of Duty Infinite Warfare looks great, another re-skinned sequel. No complaints. However, the real news is the remaster of Call of Duty 4. I can’t wait. Best CoD ever!
But here to steal the show is Crash Bandicoot, Crash 1, 2, and Warped will be remade and remastered and available for the PS4.
Hideo Kojima is now a major part of the Sony family and introduces a teaser for his new series Death Stranding. This looks like a great story I am excited to learn more.
Insomniac Games is making a Spiderman game that I think looks incredible. We have been waiting for something along these lines since Spiderman 2 back on the PlayStation 2. This is an open world true Spiderman game and I’m super stoked for its release as soon as possible.
