Steve Aoki LEC Finals

Grammy-nominated DJ and producer Steve Aoki will be performing for the LEC’s Warm Up Show on behalf of LEC Finals team Rogue. The collaboration is no surprise as Steve Aoki is an investor and strong supporter of Rogue parent company ReKTGlobal. His performance will take place on Sunday, September 6 at 8:45 AM ET.

Rogue’s partnership with KIA Motors

The LEC has been upping their entertainment game, especially after their recently released music videos. Aside from production team features, they’re bringing it up a notch by hosting one of America’s most popular DJs. Steve Aoki is currently a strong supporter of Rogue, previously stating that he plans to build the team into an “esports powerhouse through new sponsors, [and] partners.” His investment in ReKTGlobal shows his dedication to the team, and now his performance will prove that even further.

Along with his partnership with ReKTGlobal, KIA Motors will also sponsor his upcoming act. KIA is one of the LEC’s main partners and has worked with the league to produce multiple video productions within the past year. In addition, Rogue recently announced a new partnership with KIA, leveraging their friendship with KIA-sponsored musicians such as Imagine Dragons, Steve Aoki, and Nicky Romero.

The LEC isn’t the only League of Legends pro league advertising a big performance. Popular rapper Logic is also set to make an appearance for the LCS Summer Finals, performing a version of one of his songs from his newest album. Although both leagues are affected by the pandemic, it doesn’t stop them from brainstorming new ways to capture the audience. Adding musical acts to the show will help bring in viewership as well as create visibility to non-esports viewers.

Because of KIA’s new year-long partnership with Rogue, other KIA musicians could appear for the 2021 LEC Spring Split.
