Yesterday’s Nintendo Direct had a lot of information on upcoming titles, but many people weren’t expecting anything for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate after the big Direct a month ago which revealed a whole slew of new characters.
But, Nintendo did not disappoint. The company added a quick teaser finally confirming the long-running rumor of Animal Crossing getting another character in Smash, namely the adorable yellow dog Isabelle.
In addition, a Smash Bros. Switch hardware bundle was announced as well, to no one’s surprise. The bundle features the Nintendo Switch system, complete with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate branded Joy-Con controllers and dock, and a download code for the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate game, for $359.99. The bundle will be available on November 2, but the download code for the game won’t be active until the game launches on December 7.
Kevin has been a fan of fighting games since he first walked up to a Marvel vs. Capcom cabinet at the tender age of 8 at the local arcade. (Kids ask your parents what an “arcade” is) He may not be very good, but that doesn’t stop him from enjoying them.
