Teamfight Tactics set 3 March release TFT mobile

The Teamfight Tactics (TFT) Twitter account has released a short video revealing some key information for set 3. In addition, producer Dax “Lunchboy” Andrus and game design lead Stephen “Mortdog” Mortimer talked about the upcoming release of Teamfight Tactics on mobile platforms.

Teamfight Tactics set 3 announcement

The first part of the video talks about what steps they have taken throughout the development process of TFT. However, there were way more interesting aspects of the video, such as the first glimpse we got at the newest Teamfight Tactics set. Set 3 will be all about “space.” Some examples of the champions we should expect to see included in the upcoming set are the Star Guardian and the Pulsefire skin line champions.

This hint gives us 14 champions we could potentially see for the first time or make a return to the Teamfight Tactics universe. Ezreal, Ahri, Janna, Jinx, Lulu, Lux, Miss Fortune, Neeko, Poppy, Rakan, Soraka, Syndra, Xayah, and Zoe all have skins that are part of the Star Guardian set.

Besides the Star Guardian set, the video also revealed that the Pulsefire champions will be making an appearance in the upcoming space set of TFT. Caitlyn, Ezreal, Fiddlesticks, Graves, Riven, Thresh, and Twisted Fate currently have skins that are part of the Pulsefire side of the set. It is unlikely all of these champions will be included, especially since many have already been in previous sets. However, there are some that would be interesting to see make their first appearance.

My personal favorite duo is Xayah and Rakan. I hope to see them become part of the new TFT’s space set.

Mobile coming in March 2020

In the announcement video, Lunchboy and Mortdog shortly discussed the timeline of Teamfight Tactics Mobile. While a lot can still change, we can expect to see the game being playable on mobile as early as March 2020.
