Since Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone integrated in December of 2020, the AUG assault rifle has been at the top of players’ loadouts. The three-round burst rifle is a true force on the map, possessing the ability to eliminate enemies with a couple of accurate bursts.

In Season 2 of Warzone, not much has changed in regards to the Black Ops Cold War AUG. It still shreds opponents at any range and it is often used in high-level play. For example, the recent Toronto Ultra Warzone tournament saw a plethora of competitors make use of the AUG. However, it’s not just the weapon players are using; it’s a specific loadout that maximizes the rifle’s abilities.

The AUG doesn’t have many weaknesses. It shoots relatively quickly and has tremendous accuracy, range and damage. However, as it’s a three-round burst weapon, players need to be more accurate.

Still, that feature is what makes the rifle so dominant. Players can burst enemies from dozens of meters away. Of course, there are certain attachments to maximize this potential. These are included in the recommended loadout.

  • Muzzle: Agency Silencer
  • Barrel: 17″ Titanium
  • Optic: Visiontech 2x
  • Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
  • Ammunition: 45 Rnd Speed Mag

Kicking off the loadout is the Agency Silencer. This keeps players off the radar when firing and increases overall damage range. The 17″ Titanium barrel also increases the fire rate to land more shots faster.

Furthermore, the Visiontech 2x scope is a great middle-of-the-road sight that gives players flexibility. It’s not too zoomed in while also keeping zoomed out enough to make long-range gunfights a hassle. Finally, the Field Agent Grip helps with recoil and the 45 Rnd Speed Mag gives players extra bullets and the ability to reload slightly quicker.
