They Won’t Go When I Go is the third and final quest of the ‘Sinnerman’ job in Cyberpunk 2077, right after ‘There is a Light that Never Goes Out.’ While the third portion of this questline isn’t nearly as long as its predecessor, it’s certainly more memorable. Today, we’ll go over exactly how to complete They Won’t Go When I Go and make sure you get the right outcome.
Completing They Won’t Go When I Go in Cyberpunk 2077
To start this quest, the studio executive Rachel will call you sometime after completing There is a Light that Never Goes Out. When she does, simply say “yes” whenever she asks you to come visit Joshua Stephenson.
Upon arriving at the TV studio, where Stephenson is set to commit suicide for the sake of a Braindance, talk to Vasquez and he’ll let you through the gate. Next, talk to Rachel who will let you know that Joshua is struggling with what he’s about to do. She asks you to go talk with him.
Joshua is sitting in his dressing room and looks extremely nervous. During the following dialogue sequence, you have two options. The first is to be extremely supportive of his decision to make a Braindance of himself being nailed to a cross. The other option is to freak him out and tell him not to go through with it.
The ultimate conclusion is that Joshua will be nailed to the cross. However, if you’re not supportive, the Braindance will not go as planned and Joshua will fail in his quest. Regardless, you’ll end up at the cross with him and this is where things get graphic.
What comes next is you hammering three nails into Joshua while he’s on the cross. The screams from Joshua mixed with the sound from hammering the nail make for a truly uncomfortable experience. Once it’s over though, all you have to do is wait for the former prisoner to die.
The last moments of the quest involve you talking with Rachel, who tells you to wait on your payment. After you conclude talking with her, They Won’t Go When I Go is complete.
