Hi-Rez Studios’ new third-person shooter, Rogue Company, has unveiled its first gameplay trailer. First announced in the summer of 2019, fans have waited with bated breath for a trailer of some kind. Today, those fans got their wish, as Hi-Rez Studios released a ton of information about Rogue Company‘s future.
The game is expected to release some time in the summer of 2020, but an Alpha is also available to sign-up for. You can do so on the game’s website regardless of your platform (PlayStation 4, Switch, Xbox One, or PC).

The trailer showcases a fair amount of gameplay elements, including the characters, abilities, and maps. If you’re not sure what Rogue Company is all about, here’s a quick breakdown.
Rogue Company is a third-person, team-based shooter with a unique style of gameplay. More of an arcade shooter, the multiplayer title features multiple Mercenaries that each have their own traits. For example, one character has a throwable sword that can magnetically come back to you once thrown.
Utilizing both 2v2 and 4v4 action in an objective-based game mode, the game looks a lot like the upcoming Valorant. It’ll be intriguing to see how Hi-Rez Studios tries to distinguish Rogue Company from Riot’s highly-anticipated shooter.
As mentioned earlier, there will be an Alpha test for those who sign up on the game’s website. Of course, you’re not guaranteed access just by signing up. After the Alpha, Hi-Rez Studios is set to release its title in the summer of 2020 on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC.
