In what was already a bad week for Triple Trouble, what with Aldin “Ronaky” Hodzic’s sudden departure to FC Barcelona, it just got worse. Andy “Kassio” Landais has also left the team. Before Ronaky left, Triple Trouble was trying out new players in favor of him. But with Ronaky leaving, they now had to keep Kassio to keep their RLCS spot as per the two-player rule, where two of the original starters have to remain in order to keep their place in the RLCS.
Where Kassio is headed is not yet clear, but what this does mean is that only Euan “Tadpole” Ingram remains. Triple Trouble officially stated that “with great discomfort and sadness,” they will have to forfeit their spot. It’s the first time this has happened in the RLCS.
Final announcement for the foreseeable future

Triple Trouble only made their debut last season, but they immediately became one of the fan favorites. As a family-like team, the roster often shared videos showing how their families celebrated their wins with them. They reached top eight in their first-ever world championship. Tadpole’s own father was even to be a stand-in manager for the first-ever Beyond the Summit Rocket League event this month. It’s also not yet clear what will happen with their invitation to that event.
Who takes Triple Trouble’s spot?
With Triple Trouble’s official resignation from the RLCS, that leaves open a spot for another team. This will be Veloce Esports, who ended up in third place in the promotion/relegation tournament, only barely missing out on promotion to the RLCS. Veloce has dominated the RLRS for several seasons now but fell just short of promotion every time. With Triple Trouble forfeiting, they will finally get their promotion. It’s a sad way of earning it, but the players will undoubtedly take the opportunity with both hands.
The only question remains where Kassio is headed. The obvious answer here is Veloce. Most teams have by now settled with their new players, so for Kassio to remain in the RLCS, he’d have to join the team that will replace Triple Trouble. In fact, this is likely exactly what has happened according to Tadpole’s father, who spoke about the situation on Twitter. The change was also confirmed and then quickly deleted by mousesports player Maik “Tigreee” Hoffmann.
