TSM acquires former Excelerate Gaming Rainbow Six roster

TSM joins Rainbow Six Pro League

With Season 10 of the Rainbow Six Pro League for North America starting June 17, another organization has made an appearance. Team SoloMid has announced that they have acquired the previous Excelerate Gaming Rainbow Six roster. The team consists of Matthew ‘Achieved’ Solomon, Khalil ‘b1ologic’ Pleas, Jason ‘Beaulo’ Doty, Tommy ‘Krusher’ Samuel, Bryan ‘Merc’ Wrzek, and their coach Owen ‘Pojoman’ Mitura. This new TSM roster previously qualified for the R6 Pro League in Season 8’s Challenger League.

Joining the Pro League

“It really is a dream come true to be part of TSM. We’ve watched TSM play in multiple games over the past several years, and never thought one day we would be part of it. This has been the goal for all of us – grind it out in Challenger and make it to the Pro League,” wrote the newly joined TSM Rainbow Six team. “We’re looking forward to the upcoming season with this new roster, and we’re truly grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the team and this organization.”

The 5 players on the former Excelerate Gaming roster placed 6th in the North American standings during Season 9. By ending the previous season in 6th, the team has managed to keep their spot for Season 10. Even so, Excelerate Gaming released the roster on May 18.

TSM’s Rainbow Six team will play their first match today against ’92 Dream Team. ’92 Dream Team recently qualified for the R6 Pro League after defeating Soniqs during a relegation match. Adam “Drip” Kolodkin recently left the team, and they subsequently replaced him with Muteeb “PiXeL” Chaudary. It will no doubt prove an interesting match between a newly acquired team and a prior Challenger-only team.
