Twitch revealed its Safety Advisory Council (SAC), a board of professionals whose goal is to improve the community. According to Twitch, the Safety Advisory Council will play an integral role in guiding decisions made at the organization. Their “experience, expertise, and belief in Twitch’s mission” qualify them to advise on a variety of areas.
Moving forward, SAC’s collective voice will aid in drafting policies, protecting marginalized groups, and more, including the following:

The council is composed of eight experts and content creators who “have a deep understanding of Twitch, its content, and its community.” Furthermore, Twitch says including experts with an outside perspective was a priority when creating the council.
