The Vancouver Titans have announced an extended partnership with Canadian convenience store chain Circle K. In addition to an existing relationship from the inaugural season, the Overwatch League franchise will feature new fan engagement activations and the return of past elements.
Circle K fan engagement
Dave Greason, Director of Marketing & Merchandising at Circle K Western Canada, said:
We’re excited to be able to continue our partnership with the Titans. We have all been through so much these past few months and we can’t wait to add back some FUN into our new normal. We are lucky to be part of this immensely passionate gaming community. Gaming used to be niche, but now it is mainstream. We’re looking forward to engaging with this community in new ways.
The renewed agreement will see the Vancouver Titans display the Circle K logo on player jerseys, similar to the ones worn at the 2019 Overwatch League Grand Finals. The two will also collaborate on the limited edition Titans Froster collector cups. Those will return this summer to Circle K stores across Western Canada. In addition, brand activations like a digital scavenger hunt will be used to introduce the team’s new roster to fans.
Vancouver Titans in Season 3
The Vancouver Titans recently announced their new Overwatch League roster. This saw the team switch from a full South Korean lineup to one with mostly North American and Canadian players. The previous group of players took the team to a 2nd place finish during the 2019 Overwatch League season and boasted numerous accolades in the past few years. The team management attributed the roster change to the effect of the global pandemic.
The Titans found their first win using the new roster against the Dallas Fuel. The team currently sits at 17th place in Season 3 of the Overwatch League, with 3 wins and 7 losses. They will play their next match against the Boston Uprising on June 27.
